At Southern Ocean Smiles, we offer bulk billing for dental care as part of the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provided by Medicare. This scheme provides benefits for basic dental treatment to eligible children aged 2-17 years. Available services include examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings and extractions.

The CDBS offers up to $1,026 per child over two consecutive calendar years. If less than $1,026 is used in the first year, the remaining balance can be used in the second year if your child is still eligible.

To access the scheme a child must be aged between 2-17 years, be eligible for Medicare and their family must receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment.

Regardless of whether your child is eligible for the CDBS, we still offer the full range of high quality dental treatment for all children.
